Scholarships and Financial Assistance for Poor Youth and Women in Schools, Skill Training Centers, and Navajeevan Homes

BSK supports a network of 31 Don Bosco Institutions in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and South Odisha by engaging with donors to fund charitable activities undertaken by these institutions. These institutions consist of technical schools, schools, colleges, and navajeevan’s (orphanages and safe homes) that provide education, skill training, and residential care to poor youth and young people in our region. The table below concerns the number of beneficiaries (415) who have received financial assistance in this program. All beneficiaries come from households that are poor or living in abject poverty. This support ensures that are charitable network has the financial resources to welcome and assist such persons who seek help from our organization. These institutions are located primarily in rural areas and small towns in our operational area where there is a limited presence of charitable entities and community services.

Tirupathur, Tamil Nadu serves as a Don Bosco Residential School that provides residential care and education for youth from remote villages in the community. Surakshitha is a safe home and crisis pregnancy center for young women and mothers fleeing from domestic violence and broken homes.
