the charism of Don Bosco, the father and friend of youth, the Salesians
set foot on the Andhra soil in 1969. After years of growth and expansion,
the province of St. Joseph, Hyderabad was formed on 24 April 1992.
The Province comprises of the whole civil state of Andhra Pradesh,
with Hyderabad as its headquarters. From mere 14 presences in April
1992 to 42 presences in 2006, the Province has come a long way.
Currently there are 165 Salesians working in 9 schools, 2 formal
technical schools, 11 boarding schools, 12 shelter homes, 14 parishes,
besides the numerous other research and animation centers |
